This advice is full of mixed messages. We should be teaching our children that there words and actions should be consistant. Telling a potty training child that an accident is no big deal is great advice. After all even adults have the occasional accident. Making a child stay in wet or soiled pants is cruel how would you like to have to keep your dirty or urine soak pants on after an accident and be forced to go about you life?

I am shocked that some of you have children and are making the comments that you are making. Her hair is in a pony tail and she has her growing bangs tucked behind her ears. What is wrong with her advice? Making a child feel bad will only make the problem worse.

question thou: i babysit this one family and their 5yr old doesnt like to take the time of going potty when he is playing. so he will just go right there and it might be 5 to 20 min before i notice or smell somthing, he can go potty when he wants to but if he playing he wont go. since i babysit i can just giv him a timeout, is ther anyway i can encourage him to go potty. prizes dont work, they got a box full. parents hav tried every thing also
