My daughter is now 4 but I carried her around for the first year and a half of her life. She is so secure and so loving. I wish I had this carrier then. I can’t even tell you how many people told me I was crazy for always holding my child. I followed my heart and kept her right by my side. This child is just a ball of secure love and happiness. Her posture is great. Attachment parenting is the greatest gift you can give to your child and to changing this world.
“What did people do back before these stupid inventions.”
hmmm… lemme think… oh, right! carry them in wraps.
the “new invention” is your stroller, but maybe you might wanna do a google search for yourself.
also, get a kid and see how great it is to carry it “yourself WITH your own hands”, popeye.
Parents now days are really screwed up and over protective. “I need to carry my baby”. What a crock. What did people do back before these stupid inventions. Nothing is wrong with a stroller nothing is wrong with carrying them yourself WITH your own hands. Seems like parents now days have grown lazy.
why is everyone so against this???
i love wearing my baby
btw its kinds hard to carry your baby when you need to do chores around the house….
so stfu lol j/kkk
Yeah that was pretty much the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. WTF do you think people did before there were strollers? Carry their babies in wraps! DUH! I don’t understand how pushing a stroller is not lazy, and carrying your baby is lazy?
I got an ergo with baby no 3 and wish I had it with all 3. My dd3 is now 18mths old and I love it I can say ‘do you want to get on my back because I need to cook dinner/do the gardening/put out the washing’ and she can choose to be with me or not. I find it so comfortable and baby can be with me if tired in the ergo or run about with her siblings with me if she doesnt want that closeness! I looove my ergo
When the term “attachment parenting” is used, it is usually used in conjunction with a very abusive type of “therapy,” usually aimed at foster children, orphans or adoptees. This type of “therapy” can destroy a child’s tenuous relationship with their foster parents…carrying your child is not a crime. Torturing your child (and paying to do so) is.
Search under “attachment therapy” and see what you find, if you don’t believe me.
great video!…I want to get this. I’ve been using the sleepywrap for a while. My son is 12 months old now and is getting to be a little too big for the wrap i have. Will the ergo work for a child 31″ tall, 23 lbs? (also will it work for nursing a larger child ?)thanks! :o)
The concept of attachment parenting is valid (actually vital), but only for the first 18-24 months. At that point, it’s time to start allowing the child to begin to develop some autonomy. If you don’t, you may end up with a overly dependent clingy child when it comes time to send them off to school.
I disagree. I think that the concepts of attachment parenting can be adjusted to any age. When the children are older, you practive attachment parenting in different ways. You listen to your child’s needs, practive gentle discipline, etc. My children are six and four. They aren’t overly dependent or clingy.

What’s the different between this and the Trekker? Also, slings are much less expensive.

I love to see dads wearing their babys. We sell slings too. They look a little easier then those but I like the hood on those.
